At the meeting of the Association “ECO Cluster” summed up the results of the past year and outlined plans for 2024

On January 25, Lviv held a meeting of members of the Public Association of the “Association “ECO Cluster” in which Executive Director Olena Vitrak spoke about the work done and together with all the participants discussed the plans for 2024.

The meeting was attended by Oleg Bota, Director of the Company “Center LTD”, Deputy Director of External Relations of CPG Group/Strong Energy West/ Iryna Savka, Head of the Lviv Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Environmental League Myroslav Malyovany and Director of the Science Park of Ivan Franko Lviv National University “Innovations and entrepreneurship” Nazarii Demchyshak.

Among successful implemented projects within the framework of the Association’s activities:

• launch of the English language course “EcoSpeak – English for ecologists”, which is organized jointly with the Professional Association Of Environmentalists Of The World (PAEW) and the School of Business English “Bee for Biz”.
• training for IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons), schoolchildren and preschoolers on the importance of waste sorting. The events took place in partnership with the financial support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees).
• partnership in the consortium project LIFE21-GIE-PL-LIFE MERCURY-FREE (“Complex Awareness Raising and Behavior Change for the Mercury-Free City Environment”).

Participants exchanged views on possible cooperation, preparation of joint projects and coordination of the Association’s next steps in the direction of environmental protection and sustainable development. In particular, Myroslav Malyovany offered to take part in the development of the Regional Waste Management Plan of the Lviv Region, Oleg Botha supported the proposal of Nazarii Demchyshak on the implementation of the ideas of the contest  winners for environmental protection startups which is held on the basis of the Science Park of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and together with the company “Strong Eenergy Zahid” agreed to prepare and implement a project in the field of waste management.

Business in Ukraine should be the leader of greening consciousness and economic behavior as the most active social stratum which should should be guided by the principles of environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

“That is why within the framework of the ECO Cluster Association we will actively support all initiatives  to address the environmental protection issues and make the most of the Association’s platform for business development, with sustainability in mind,” noted during the meeting Oleg Bota the director of the company “Center LTD”.
